hey what do you think about running th wrx intecooler and using the factory bov location?

Now in my opinion the intercooler is a must. There is no room for error tuning this 200hp engine with the inexpensive setup chosen. There are quite a few ways to go about finding your intercooler. The space that is best suited for the intercooler is the area where the air conditioning WAS. There is no room for AC and an intercooler. Putting a front mount on closes off air flow to the stock radiator making cooling even harder. Remember this setup was designed for a 9.6:1 compression 1600cc 4 cylinder not a turbocharged motor with less air to the radiator. If you go with a front mount(truly the most effective charge cooler) I strongly suggest an upgraded radiator. This does however add to the price of the project.

So back to the intercooler. If it is tipped on its side with the outlet (a 60mm hole) facing toward the passenger side. The Y-Pipe wraps behind the IC and faces the turbo outlet. This allows for the shortest possible length which helps keep lag to a minimum. The effiency of the stock WRX core is more than suitable for up to 300hp without being a restriction. I will have pics posted later to better illustrated what I am talking about.

Intercooler- $100 (local WRX guys or EBAY)
Fabrication to make it fit where the condensor was-$DIY for free or measure carefully have someone tack some plate on, and then drill the holes. maybe twenty bux for this. Thats if he doesnt like you.
