Got a picture of one? I think it was ghettoD who attached a alarm siren horn on the end of his dsm valve, he said it was quite a bit louder.

They all sound pretty much the same way, only the real expensive ones sound different.

I'm pretty sure those things recirculate and not vent like what a Blow Off Valve typically does.

Just stick with a 1g dsm BOV for all your turbo applications.

Huh? DSM bov's were also designed to recirculate, just like every Factory designed BOV. I've used Mitsu 3000gt, Saab Bosch bov, 300ZX TT BOV, and many others that were all designed ro recirculte and had them vent to atmosphere.

yeah I know they recirculate.

My point was that the wrx bov recircultes and doesn't vent.

My second point was just to tell him to use a 1g dsm bov since they are the most well rounded ones and are capable of some different abilities.

here, check this link out Jeff:

On your typical "HMT" setup, why would it mater if it needs to "vent".. that page you showed me is for modifing so it will hold more pressure at higher boost levels.

A stock WRX bov is going to sound just like a dsm valve, and hold pressure just fine under 15psi..

correct, it's a more efficient way to mod the thing versus the crush method.

If you would have read all of that page Mr. Smarty Pants it also shows you another mod where it can trade the high boost level hold to a quick release action.

lol quick release action,

Here's a suggestion, lets not over anaylize every little thing about FI ----. The guy wants to know if his bov will work, will it sound cool. I answered his question. Telling everyone they need a DSM 1g Bov is stupid, because not everyone can easily find one, and other ones will work just fine.

hey Mr. Complainy Pants, I was giving a universal solution.. but hey if you have a bosch, wrx, or blitz BOV just collecting dust then go use it.

looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning
