wow no low end power

alright the car runs great when I keep things under or around 4k rpms for driving around town. After I take it to higher rpms and it actually sees the full 8psi, it seems like the car just dies off between 1-3k for the next 15 minutes.

d16y8 - stock internals
t3 - 8psi
s-afc
450cc injectors
fmic

I've been told that the s-afc advances the timing quite a bit. Would this lack of power in the low end after seeing boost be due to that? or is it something more like a pressure drop?

I bought a BTM to help with timing and have been told not to tap into the vacuum on the FPR, but I didn't think the gauge would be that big of a deal.

Also what are the effects of:
1. not having the 1st o2 sensor in the downpipe on a obd2 car?
2. not having this in the intake? and does it go before or after the turbo

Re:wow no low end power

If anyone has some tips on afc settings that would be great. These seem to be working ok for regular driving, but maybe they're too rich in the high end? Flooding could be an issue I suppose, but I was afraid of running lean. I'm really at a loss here. I intend on taking it to a dyno soon, but I don't quite have the time or money at the moment.

hmmm the afc settings seem ok./..maybe a tad to rich on top, but should be fine...it could be the 1st o2 sensor you don't g\have that is causing the problem

Check your base timing...

this may seem ignorant, but how do I do that?

You have a 1.6L 4 cylinder honda motor... your not supposed to have low end power lol.

The first o2 sensor is the one that controles your air/fuel mixture, the second one moniters the converter.

I would think you should start hear, instal the front o2 in the bung, hook up the front o2 wiring, leave the rear 02 unhooked and try that ;)
