Would this turbo work for my STD manifold?
Its a Garret Turbo from a 1999 Saab 9-3. I was wondering if this has a T3 flange that I can bolt to an adpater plate/STD manifold. Any insight would be great.

anyone?

Re: Would this turbo work for my STD manifold?
Yeah it should with an adapter plate. Right now there is a person selling a std manifold with an adapter plate for many style turbos on Ebaymotors. Just type in civic turbo manifold or T3 turbo and you should see it.

Re: Would this turbo work for my STD manifold?
garret t3's from a saab are notoriously known for spinning in the ranges upward of 250,000 rpm's factoring that in with the oil honda engines need to run the friction is far to great. this will result in the turbo and manifold getting so hot that it will melt right off the block, fall off the car, hit the ground only to bounce back up at your seat and burning your ass. do i need to get you a science book? because you're talkin like a ----'n retard. aparently you alredy know you need an std manifold, and if you know that you should know a t3 fits on it with an adaptor plate.

Re: Would this turbo work for my STD manifold?
It's great when the information is already here and there is a SEARCH button to.
You should try instead of flaming people that have provided this info BEFORE you asked for it! |
Re: Would this turbo work for my STD manifold?
It is a question that could easily be answered by looking through this website, that is true. But in the case you leave a post and have looked for a while searching for your answer, like i do and then all you do is get assholes leaving bullshit on your thread then I want to say go ---- yourselves and just figure ---- out myself.

Re: Would this turbo work for my STD manifold?
I am pretty sure everyone misunderstood the question. Which is why i am so upset. The question was would a turbo from a "1999 Saab 9-3"!!! The reason i asked was because i know that using a t3 adapter plate i can mate the turbos from older Saabs (late 80's early 90s). I was not sure if the flange on the turbo was the same, or if the specs on the turbo were the same. I was hoping someone had some experience with this. With that clarified, is it a T3 flanged turbo? And are the specs close to a .42/.48???? Thanks everyone for your time.

Re: Would this turbo work for my STD manifold?
Is it possible that this is a t-25? If so i think i will just stick to an older one. I chose this one because it has less miles on it. I dont wanna get burned and end up buying a crappy used 12 year old turbo with bad seals and stuff. Thanks again for the help.
