Worth it?
Hi im new and have got a 1995 civic coupe, im thinking of turbocharging my d15b7 its done 140k well serviced and want to know if its wort it?
also this is my daily drive and need it to be fairly reliable :) thnx |
Re: Worth it?
Sure it can be done and if thats what you want to do, then it's worth it. I would recommend keeping the boost pressure at a reasonable range (for power reasons on the stock 104K mile engine), and keep your maintenence up and you should have no problem.

Re: Worth it?
It all depends on how much of a beater you are. Losts of people beat the hell out of there motors, but never really think about being realiable. I say go for it, that motor is crap and cheap anyways. Number one key to keeping that beast running is tuneing, run uberdata or turboedit, crome.

Re: Worth it?
cheerz for the info decided to boost, the only trouble ill have is i wont be able to use uberdata ive got the chip but there isnt any one in the UK that use it. so will get one of them afc instaed.

Re: Worth it?
AFC will work fine as well, but you could run Uberdata if you started learning how to use the program. Who knows, you could be the only Uber tuner in the UK after that ;)

boost it! read my sig...

Re: Worth it?
I would. I have a b7 in my 95 sedan and i threw a t3 turbo on it. That sucker pulls pretty good. I just wouldn't do more than 6-7 on that many miles and stock block.
