Default Will this work? Cummins Turbo/AMC Engine

There isn't much in the way of performance parts for the old AMC 327 engines so here is what I am thinking. Picking up a Cummins 5.9 turbo and exhaust manifold. Planning on flipping exhaust manifolds and putting Turbo in front/above engine and exiting with a 3" Single exhaust. Only looking to have 5-8 PSI of boost on engine as it was rebuilt when I got car and wasn't built for forced induction. This will be a carb (650 Edelbrock) job so looking at Holley forced induction fuel pressure regulator inline with an electric fuel pump and utilizing stock 4 barrel intake. No inter-cooler or real tricks just a real basic low pressure turbo. Having never done forced induction or knowing anybody who has its intimidating but looking to do something different since unique is kinda my plan I expect it will be a learning experience. From others experiences and expertise is this do able/practical/bat ---- crazy?

That's likely to be an HX35, which may be too small here unless your engine really doesn't like to rev.
