got a pic to detail that ---- out?
as long as the mating surfaces are sealed up things *should* be okay. Hell just replace the stud, it ain't that hard. |
Re:Will my turbo be effected if i have a broken manifold stud?
no, the stud broke inside, i cant use a vicescript thing to take it out. Its broken in the hole where the stud goes.

Only thing that will happen is that you WILL have a small exhaust leak there.

Re:Will my turbo be effected if i have a broken manifold stud?
if, all others are good, and you have a good gasket, you should be fine

Re:Will my turbo be effected if i have a broken manifold stud?
No, it will leak but if the gasket is good and the surfaces machined it probably won't leak much, but it will leak nonetheless. Been there, done that.

to fix it youll need to drill it out... carefully

Re:Will my turbo be effected if i have a broken manifold stud?
go to sears. They have stud drilling kits. It grips on the stud and it comes right out. Its one of those tools that you wish you never have to buy, but it works.

Re:Will my turbo be effected if i have a broken manifold stud?
I had one break off in my old head. I rented a right angle drill, since I really didn't want to pull the head. I was able to drill it enough to get an easy-out to bite and it came right out. If I had to do it again, I'd probably just buy a right angle drill attachment since they cost as much as it was to rent the drill.

I'd say just run it like that for now then if you notice a leak then fix it. I had a tiny leak because I forgot to tighten a bolt and it caused my turbo to spool a little slower.
