will JB weld hold this?

Hello everyone, I had to rotate my compressor housing on my new turbo in order for me to hook up my stock intercooler piping. Now my wastegate doesnt line up right, i have found a good place to remount it, and my question is can i JB weld the wastegate actulator bracket to the compressor housing? I think it will hold, but how strong is this stuff? what do you guys think?

it'll get too hot. JB Weld starts to get mushy at a certain heat...don't remember what though. If that ---- didn't have a max heat i woulda made my whole damn downpipe with it lol

what about 600 degrees with 10LBS. of presure being pulled against it ??

Even without the heat, I'd say it wouldn't hold, the heat just seals the deal.

A few spot welds would prob. do the trick, and still be removable.

Just make some new brackets... It's amazing what you can do with a hacksaw and a drill. :o

Go with Wally's advise on this one, JB weld (amazing as it is) I dont think will work, heat's not the problem. Compressors dont even get that hot. Its the fact the Rod is moving part, also most wastegates have a little bit of preload against the rod on the flapper. So, not sure how you would set that up with jb weld. I could be wrong, and it could work. But I think just fabbing a little bracket would be the better way to go.
