Will I need a fuel pump?

Hey, Im going to be running a prelude h22 turbo. I am going to use 450cc injectors and was going to do a fuel pump as well. Will i need a fuel pump? i only want to run 7psi for now, and will be using a SAFCII to control the injectors. I have heard of people using stock fuel pumps and just upping injectors. Is this ok?
Thanks

it's 80 bux for an upgraded fuel pump. do you really want to chance blowing up a motor over not wanting to spend 80 bucks and like 20 minutes of install time?

i know i read somewhere that most honda pumps are good to 300+ hp at stock fuel pressure, but for exact figures someone else will have to chime in. i have a 255 intank, its easy as hell to put it in, good insurance/piece of mind

if you're running an h22 why not use a VAFC? unless you already have the SAFC bought

no you don't need a new fuel pump with 450cc injectors as long as your stock pump is in good shape... Highly recommend changing your fuel filter though... also... inline pumps are for suckaz so don't consider that

deffintly intank pump. The reason i consider not doing a fuel pump is so i can get a little better gas mileage

Re:Will I need a fuel pump?

i doubt the pump will have any effect on mileage since you can control the fuel with the afc, thats what dictates your mileage; that and your right foot ;)

oh i thought that it would make your mileage suck. But you bring up a good point. I guess i mine as well do it since its 80 bucks and overall better for the car.
thanks guys

well a mild turbo setup isnt bad on gas mileage much at all man.

a built up n/a motor would be worse imo

Well, it's called driving in the city.
Before I had pretty heavy right foot :) .. but now, as accelerates faster... you reach same speed mucho faster and cruise afterwards :)
Also, if driving when lotsa traffic I can now shift much sooner due to much improved torque.
All in all.. better gas mileage.. Muh happy ;)

civic pumps are good for between 300-400hp at stock fuel pressure. h22 are slightly better. just check the voltage at the pump, you might have to put some better wire in there to get full flow.
