will exhaust quiet down??

right now i have a stock d15 with just an intake and my exhaust is abnormally loud. i have like 5 friends with hatchs and mine is way louder than any of thiers, i just have a high flow cat and from the cat back is 2.25 with an apexi n1 muffler. its very loud, and i was wondering about when i get my turbo setup on with a little bigger piping is it going to get louder with a turbo or will it be less loud. i hope less because i wanna be able to hear the bov good.

Yes it should quite down.

I had 2 1/2 with a resonator(cheap restrictive one) factory cat, and Ricer fart can. It was loud but not bad sounding.

Now with turbo I have a 2 1/4, gutted cat, no resonator, and same ricer fart can. I have a real deep burly sound. My friend says it sound like a SRT-4 but louder. But I'm a lot more quiete then most N/A set ups.

Eventualy I'm going to High-flow cat. 3" pipe and a flowmaster delta flow muffler. I have heard this on a few talon/eclipses and it is quite and VERY Burly/Deep sounding. To the point where it rumbles your chest.

yea my exhaust is super deep right now, but since i added the high flow cat im not to impressed with the sound of it, its makes a super annoying rasp after like 3500 especially when i get on it. yea, i hope it changes the sound, hey, and why did u down size in piping?

Re:will exhaust quiet down??

Right now Im running a gutted cat, 2.25" -> cherry bomb muffler (basically a straight tube with some fins) and then my exhaust dumps out of the passenger side right behind/under the door

No muffler and FAWKING LOVE IT

If you love the sound of exhausts, mufflerless side exit is great lol, I can throw it in fifth and coast and it will be still loud but not as loud as some WOT, but when I get on her, ------- everyone knows about it.

I was expecting some rasp, but gone none at all, pure deep and ------- loud.

Gutting the cat really adds a smell when you get out though, but thats why its passenger side exit lol

what u have sound alot like the sound of mine except i have that rasp when i get on it, yea, if im in 5th with out pushing the throttle and going like 65 its looud, sounds good though, and yea, twice when im going home at like 11:00 at night my friends have called me and asked where i was was, the farthest one said they heard when i was by my house and they were like 1 1/2 miles away but i was really getting on it.

I have the d16, greddy SP catback, Straight piped the cat and a 2.5 dp, and it sounds nearly stock. At frist I was pissed but my car doesn't turn the cops heads my way, so it actualy better. Very nice when street racing because Usually the OTHER car is louder, 1st car the police is going to look at :D
