why this happened. curious
ok. I know manderal bent is always better specially for flow reasons.. I'm just curious. I'm running a t4 Hot isde 60-1 cold side turbo with a equal tubular manifold. My old down pipe was 3" pipe but it was crush bent. I just replaced it last night with a manderal bent custm ordered down pipe. I know i'm hitting boost faster and the turbo is spooling better and faster cause of the better flow of my new down pipe. BUT why did it change the sound of my turbo. I mean my turbo before sounded like every other loud PSSSSS when at wide open throat but at low boost i couldn't even hear it. NOW my turbo sounds mean as hell at low boost and at high boost. Sounds like a damn jet engine starting up. I love the sound my turbo makes now just woundering why the down pipe would effect the sound of the tubo.
Yes it's a 97' civic ex coupe. I put a B18c GS-R engine. then after turboing it for 6 months took everything apart and built the bottom end with arias pistons and eagle rods. running a equal length tubular manifold precision T4 Hot side 60-1 cold side. Uberdata stand alone. How do i post pic.'s on here and i will.
No nothing changed boost is still 10 PSI. just better and sooner. and my turbo sounds mean as hell now. I know why it's boosting better and all that technical stuff just didn't know why it would change the sound. Like i said just curious. Tell me please what i have to do to post pic.'s up here
