agreed...It prevents pcv blow by from getting back into the intake system of your car. Without one your rasking lowering octane rating because of all the blowby in your intake air causing detenation.

On my D16y8 i was able to access the PCV from under the car and or from above the motor by reaching around the side of the intake manifold. Help from a friend never hurts!

josh, the original poster isnt totally wrong. oil leaks can come from positive pressure in the crank case causing air (and eventually oil to start leaking from places like your oil pan gasket.

a catch can not only eliminates the blow by gasses, but should also introduce vacuum into the crank case to aid in ring seal. i have to go, but ill finish this post later

I think your looking for more of a breather setup. i'd go with the endyne kit if you are a b series. its really a quality kit.

Ill check out the Endyne kit, but, Im running a D16A6/T3.
