has anyone ever ran e85 on a stock honda? are there and mpg benefits?

There will be a loss in mileage. The severity will depend on compression ratio, tune ect. Even though the mileage will drop, E85 is typically cheaper than regular fuel it offsets some or most of the mileage loss. Basically the way to look at it though is race gas performance for pumpgas price. Especially effective in turbo cars.

I will be tuning my reddevil (subaru twincharged 2.5 w/ 800cc injectors w/ meth) to the max with e85 next week. Will report in.

on a completley stok motor converting yes but if you have higher compression ratio and more timing so you can take advantage of the 105 octane you can tune your mpg back to almost stock or better. i went from untuned on 6psi getting 40 mpg with gaqs to tuned on 18psi on e85 getting +36 makeing 386 hp. and thats tuned for power not mileage oviously.
