Who has an Ebay BOV
 

I just bought one an noticed its aluminum so I can't weld it to my piping. Can anyone tell me how you mounted yours. Pics. will help alot. I need to know asap I will be doing my install this fri.

can you post up the link so we know which one you are talking about?

you can always weld it to an AEM cold air intake which is also aluminum...

If your BOV is like mine, a turbo xs rfl knock off, you're gonna have to weld on a 1" tube to your charge pipe and connect it to your BOV with a hose and clamp both of the hose ends.

Yeah, definately stick with the 1g DSM BOV, they are by far the best choice. Cheap, effective and can be modded the ---- out for whatever you want (like high psi or some quick release BOV sounds like the expensive ones).

hey i saw the BOV you bought on ebay. that's the 1st BOV i bought. i couldn't get it to stop fluttering for crap. i finaly fucked things up when the inside piston flew off while driving cause i had the top too loose. i was walking up and down the sidewalk next to a busy avenue scanning the street looking for it for like 10-15minutes. i tried everything to make it stop fluttering:cut spring, cleaning.
the one on the link above is loud. clearly heard loud in the car. had to remove that sticky grease & lube though, no compressor surge at all.

OMG, where do they find these people?
Spelling "turbo" wrong is sure to direct more people to your items.

Anyways, that looks just like a TurboXs RFL. I'm sure it's not, but he makes it sound like it could be since it has no package. IMO that is the ricer BOV since it's so rediculously loud. It doesn't need to be that loud, it just needs to work.

TRUBO BLOW OFF VALVE ???? is the seller a ------- idiot? dude i got a true turbo xs FRL and it works fine.. it came with a steel and alum adapter peice.. if you cant find a steel one.. get a peice of 1" conduit from the hardware store and cut 2" off of it and weld it on to your charge piping.. thats why this site is called "homemadeturbo"

i just welded a 1" od pipe to my charge pipe. got a little piece of 1" id reenforced hose, put it over it, then put the bov in that and put a clamp on each end. kinda hard to see in the pics, but here:
