White/Grey smoke everywhere?!

Was just driving the civic last night, and it suddenly decided to run on 3 cylinders. wtf i thought so was near home and keep going.. pulled up at some lights, and noticed the whole car was covered in white/greyish smoke(coming from exhaust).. i thought ---- this, so took it to my mates, left it for a while, drove it home on and it was sweet as eg running on 4 cylinders.

What could the smoke have been.. no overheating, turbo is fine, has oil pressure.. the car still runs fine now.. also, when i start it from cold, it pisses out white smoke, more than what it should but after a few revs it goes away..

Cheers :)

How do your spark plugs look? and your fluids are all at the correct level right?

how do you know it was running on 3 cylinders? Do you have some sort of fancy meter that tells you?

Is your PCV system hooked up *correctly*

smokes at startup? i'd say valvestem seals but it wouldnt be white smoke.. check all your fluid levels and keep an eye on them, listen to jeff! how do you know it was running on 3 cylinders? lol

could be something as simple as a plug or wire :-\

its not plug wires or injecotors, white smoke is combo of water and antifreeze burning.. is your turbo water and oil cooled? check your compression too.. maby it sprung a leak mate.. oh yea quadnie if u find out a website on that fancy meter haaha let me know hahahah .. check your fluids man.and compression just to be safe.. . some times the d sires like to take a ---- once in a while and run like crap..

Was maybe thinking it was the injector getting stuck open.. if i drive the car i have a shift light which the +ve wire is run off the ecu and the shiftlight keeps blinking..

Also if i drive it and turn it off when driving (out of gear) then turn it back on itll go back fine.

Just changed some plugs and they look whiteish in some parts which isnt to good?

antifreeze burning.. ide say change head gasket. it has to be that.. if not at least u got anew HG ;D, but more than likely the HG is going on you..

Hmm.. but if it has a head gasket, wouldnt it steam all the time, eg when idleing, driving etc.. it only does it very seldomly.. and if i turn the car off then back on, it generally goes away.

What would be a good head gasket to use when this one goes?
