Default whine from passenger side

Hey guys,

I have a 97 civic ex, 14b turbo intercooled, dsm 450's afc hack. Stock d16y8 at 9 psi.

Ok, the car was running fine before i put it up on ramps this last weekend. Stock clutch slipping a little, my exhaust manifold, had a few cracks in it and i was planning to weld it up, do an oil change, and install my golden eagle vaccuum manifold.

I got everything welded up and installed, everything went really well.

Now the car runs good, once you get into boost, 5+ psi, there is a noticable whine from the right/passenger side of the car. sounds like its from the tranny but i cant tell. It does not happen if the car is not in gear, or the clutch is in/not engaged. it happens in every gear. Any ideas or thoughts?

One question off topic, my autometer boost gauge i got installed just now, reads 11 psi the afc reads .68-.70 i think thats 9-9.5 right? which one is correct?

thanks for your help.

Nate

It sounds like to me that the whine would be the tranny. I couldnt tell you what exactly the whine is, but ive had quite a few with a whine myself.
