Default where to set wastegate?

Ok well I have an internal wastegated T3 with and adjustable arn.I can adjust it so that the flapper is completely closed or open.Where should I set it so that I dont blow my ---- up on the first run?1/2 way open?I want to run it,see where its at(psi) and adjust it from there.

Its a Saab wastegate(threaded male end) with a Volvo threaded arm(female end)on it.I had to do a hybryd couse I had to make a bracket to set the wastegate past the lower engine mount couse it was hitting.Ill post picts soon of my "custom wastegate bracket" :P

If you don't want to build alot of boost just set it halfway out and go from there. What is the stock setting, 8psi? Why not run that?

The arm shouldn't matter. The actuator is still going to push out at a certain boost level. The arm length is a shitty way of lowering bosst because it creates mad lag. If you put it on so it is completely closed it should only boost what the stock actuator was set at.
