EDIT, sorry i read your post wrong 
If you go search on honda-tech.com you will find out lots of people say to put it further from the tb and some say the closer the better, personally i like to go near the tb...

mine is near the turbo because that's the only place i had room. In theory the purpose of the BOV is to relase pressure so it doesn't back up into the turbo, so i figure what better place to have it then right next to the compressor. (hey makes sense to me)
