Where to get plastic Mech Oil Tubing

i am hooking up my mechanical oil pressure and all i got was the gauge. I got everything else from Aeroquip and now i need the tubing. Advance sells the ---- but i dont want to spend 6 dollars on it again, ive bent 2 rolls of that and wasted 12$ on it. I need like 10 feet (pressure is on the oil feed that way i know exactly how much it is gettin)

NAPA might have it for cheaper than autozone.

Are you talking about an Autometer gauge? Use the brass version. It will last longer. Go to ACE Hardware store. They sell them in lengths. Do not forget the ferule (rings). They should have that too.

Re: Where to get plastic Mech Oil Tubing

i got these quick release connectors for nylon piping so im usin them, they cost me 10$. I will check Ace tomarrow. I need 1/8 high temp nylon tubing. i got about 6" on right now and i read 30-32 psi at cold in oil. Is that low, i am low on oil (i checked it after i saw this and was under the 2nd dot). What is oil pressure supposed to be @ the turbo?

I would even run rubber hose with barbs before I tried ------- with that bullshit nylon, but since it's probably going into the car I'd use stainless.

---- mech. oil gauges, I don't want hot oil spraying in my face if it ever came loose or I crashed.

Re: Where to get plastic Mech Oil Tubing

Although I'm not a gauge expert, I've had one elec. gauge start acting goofy and numerous others have said the same thing happened to them. My next one will be mechanical, but it's definatly getting the stainless treatment.

Re: Where to get plastic Mech Oil Tubing

ok well, like the thread says, what do i need. Oil pressure gauges only function and read correctly if the same amount of oil goes to it. I will try stainless like my oil feed line

Re: Where to get plastic Mech Oil Tubing

i will try brass line and i will try some nylon again. I will put it through a rubber vaccum line that way if she pops off, it will be sealed in there and not all over the place
