I bought an eBay IC, specifically to fit my Civic without hacking my bumper up too much, and because according to the description, it was perfect (and 100$ shipped).

So it arrives, I don't think twice, open it up, and start test fitting it. Hmm, seems tall... and thin... and WTF, these are tubes, not bars. And wait a sec, the inlet/outlets aren't centered.





Nope, not even close to 22x5x3.
I filed a paypal dispute, and the company replied, and will accept it back, give me all my money, including shipping and insurance, all I'm out is return shipping. Great.

Now, who the ---- do I get an IC from? I want that exact size, or close to it, nothing taller than 6". I want a thick core to make up for the lack of height, so either 2.5" or 3" thick, and 2.5" in/out, without square-*** tanks, preferably centered on the core. :1

Nope, he's still on vacation. Since August, must be nice. I'm willing to spend a little more than $100, but not the $200+ that everyone else wants... I just wish eBay sellers actually had what they advertise, I emailed 2 more sellers, and none of them will verify that what they send looks like whats in the ad, its always "We send what we have in stock, those measurements are just estimates, they could be off by 2" ..."

You cant find one for a reasonable price anywhere that doesnt suck because you ******* buy this ebay ---- . Now know what we have? You should your ------- deep in it We have a bunch of shitty companys selling shitty intercoolers and they dont give a ---- about there customers. Meanwhile companys like custom coach and johnnyracecar have to stop making there hand welded nicely fit to honda intercoolers because there is all that cheap ebay/china ---- your buying up.

Look on for sale adds for a nice cca 6" or pony up the dough for spearco or whatever rich boys buy :P

 

Trust me, I wish he was still in business, I'd love to support him. I'll always be willing to spend a little more to get good service (like xenocron and fox-stock). His stuff was more than worth the money. I've emailed him numerous times with no replies. Its a shame that this is where we are in the grand scheme of things. I certainly can't afford anything from Spearco or GReddy, no richy-rich ----------er here, just trying to get something decent.

The problem with an 8" is that its too tall for my setup. I really really don't want to hack my bumper or core support. Thanks though. There's another guy who's selling a 6", I emailed him, but I'm not sure I want to risk getting scammed.

Can't find one anywhere locally, and with shipping, all the ones I've seen on eBay, h-t, or vortex are either A: beat, or b: $175+
