where do i find a t3 turbo?
i'm looking for a .60/.63 trim/ar turbo.... what are the exact #'s?
which one's a/r?
which one's trim?
which cars does this turbo come off of?
sorry for the elementary questions but i have searched and found nothing concrete.

You can buy them new at www.cheapturbo.com or remanufactured ones on ebay from down2turbo (he dosn't have any on there at the moment).
I'm assuming you're looking for a junkyard one however...I'm not real sure about that.

anyone got a price in mind?
edit: i found some info for whoever else wants to know.
85-86 Ford Thunderbird Turbodcoupe (std) has the t3 turbo.
compressor a/r = 0.60
turbine a/r = 0.63
i think here's another one:
Garrett T03 85-87 Nissan 300ZX 2960cc 60 Trim, turbine a/r 63, watercooled
are those the only cars that that turbo (trim&a/r) comes with?
btw: i thought the t3 60trim 0.63 a/r produces more power than the 14b? but why does this site:
http://www.dune-buggy.com/turbo/turbo.htm
list the garrett t25 as 0.80 compressor a/r, 0.68 turbine a/r... i thought the greater then #'s the more power they make (more lag also)?

Let me explain something real quick, so you can keep this in mind, There are about 25 different versions of T3's and about 100 different versions of T3/T4's. There are also about 15-20 different versions of T-25's different exhaust housings, different compressors, different manufactors design the turbos differently. Example a T25 off a DSM is not like a T25 off a JDM Silva. It's kind of hard to grasp, but some t25's are bigger than some t3's or vise versa.
If I remember correctly you have a gsr. You want a pretty big turbo for that thing, so I would go with a pretty easy turbo to work with, and something really common. I personally would go for a Brand new t3/t4, it will perform the best, you will make the most horsepower with it, and you will never have to worry about it smoking and ---- since its brand new. However this is HMT and if you want to hit the junkyard or try to find a cheap used turbo, a larger straight t3 will work, like a Ford T-bird turbo or a Meurker XR4ti, Mustang SVO, they all have the same turbo (manual trans) it comes with the .60/.63, its pretty much the largest t3 that came on factory production cars. Expect to pay 50-200 bucks for one. On your engine at around 12-15psi it will peak out around 300whp max.
Oh and to answer your question, where do you get one? Forum classifieds, Junkyards, ebay, your neighbors car, I dunno just look around
