Re:Where to buy mandrel bent Stainless Steel
i heard you can use radiator hoses as couplings ... is that ok? since radiator hoses go through temps about 200f and hold around 15-30psi of pressure anyways...

Re:Where to buy mandrel bent Stainless Steel
If it fits, hell yes it's ok. Some people even use them as charge piping. :-X

Re:Where to buy mandrel bent Stainless Steel
hmmm.. charge piping.. i won't be THAT cheap lol... but if the bends require so much work, why not use it, flexible and easy, don't need to mandrel bend or weld! but still... using it only as coupling is good enough...
but those home depot "rubber" hose coupling are a "no-no" right? i heard they blow up under boost? |
Re:Where to buy mandrel bent Stainless Steel
I have never used them, but I doubt they would blow up. They are used in plunbing vent systems which have no pressure, but I couldn't see blowing one unless you were running like 50 psi or something.

hmm so even home depot stuff might work? never thought of it... i guess i can use it away the compressor.. like in front of the bumper near the FMIC or something should be ok... i'll stick with my radiator stuff!

I bought 5ft of 2.5 inch heater hose from hose express, and then I recycled my cai for looks sake.
