Where to buy 2.5" silicone hose connectors?

Ok, I've looked everywhere you'll probably tell me, so far, Napa, way expensive for a 1ft tube, like $26(doesn't include clamps @ $1.09 a piece) :-\ Autozone, only come in Yellow for 2.5", yuck, and I had them check all their radiator hoses, nothing bigger than 2"....performance $11! ::) homedepot and lowes, doesn't have them in 2.5 inch only 2" and 3", ebay they are like $5 a piece then you have to buy clamps, so ebay is the cheapest yet, but is that a normal price, like $7 for each connector and clamps?

I know... I didn't want to pay that much either but the local shops around here blow... I go in asking for mandrel bent exhaust tubing and look at me like I was asking them to explain the theory of relativity or recite some shakespere.

"Now boy... What do you need mandrel bent tubin' fer?"

I tried Ebay too but there's nothing on there, especially reducers--unless I was using bad search words. :P

yeah, if you don't put 'jdm', 'hks', 'greddy', or 'fast and furiouus' you usually don't get anything back from searches on egay. good find on those couplers though ;)

Re:Where to buy 2.5" silicone hose connectors?

you guys can always get your stuff from http://www.roadraceengineering.com/hoseandclamps.htm

I will admit the silicone stuff are a tad bit expensive but they have everything you need. Also, if you are low on budget you MIGHT wanna check out the OBX reducers on ebay. I dont trust them so thats why I went with the stuff from road race engineering. Good quality stuff, but definately NOT the cheapest around.

Also high temp silicone hosing arent all that cheap to begin with.

Re:Where to buy 2.5" silicone hose connectors?

most dsm stores have silicone hose : road race , slowboy or extreme. extreme is 10 mins from me so i just go in to the store and pick it up if i need something. but its way more than slowboy or road race pricing if oyu want to wait for shipping .

You said napa had a 1 foot tube for $26? Thats a ------- deal buddy. You make 3 couplings out of that and you wont have to pay shipping on anything. So with clamps that would be like what 11 bucks a coupling? Damn good deal. Plus you dont have to wait for them to get shipped.

Re:Where to buy 2.5" silicone hose connectors?

I didn't think there was a huge demand for these couplers, but I have been working with a supplier for these. I have figured that I could sell these for about $3.50 each plus a little for shipping. This is without the clamps. I have seen the roadrace ones at $4, and my goal is to carry a better quality with as low of a price as possible. The couplers would come in 2.0, 2.25, or 2.50, and would be top quality stuff. Here's a link to the ones I'm talking about:

http://www.purosil.com/heavyduty32.html

Again, I haven't ordered any of these yet because I'm working on some other stuff (my hmt kit ;)) but I will be carrying these shortly. If you can hold off for a couple weeks and I think the demand is there at that price, I'll go ahead and order some. Just didn't want you to kill me when I start selling for not saying anything. ;)

Please list if you would be interested in this stuff. Thanks.

you'd get even more business if you can get the reducers and also the hose connectors with the lil "HUMP" for the intercooler inlet and outlet...

Re:Where to buy 2.5" silicone hose connectors?

I go tmy 2.5 from napa. Radiaor hose. It worked out well. 1ft was 16.99. You can probably make 3-4 couplers but I was reaching on my charge pipes so I made two big ones to compensate. IF I was being conservative with it, I could have gotten 3-4 couplers maybemore depending on how much I needed. For the turbo side, i bought 2in flex radiator hosing for like 10.29 for a foot but I didnt end up using it
