I have a $600 Tig/Plasmacutter/Arc combo unit that I use at the shop and its ------- awesome!

I've the Mig 151 from HF

I dont think its too bad but I havent used it with gas yet. My only complaints are that the wire feed button sucks and there are only 4 heat settings.

have any links to where you can buy one of these? Is that what you use to weld your manifolds?

Did you have to run special votage for it? According to the web site, you need 220V

if you consider 220v special than you need a 220v outlet to run a 220v welder.

theres different styles of plugs so you might want to see what style the welder uses before you worry about what you have for an outlet.

Was asking if he needed to route 220volts to use that specific welder...

Another solution you could do is fav up your manifold with a mig and just tack it and then take it in to have it tiged after you have it completed. This is what I am thinking about doing.... You still get to say you designed it but also get a good looking solid weld.

werd...i didn't know if the welders from HF were worth anything...i was about to buy one from snap on...but if HF works fine i'm going there...thanks
