When is an oil cooler absolutely needed?

Anybody know at what PSI or turbo AR sizes an oil cooler would be necessary? or recommended? Say for me.. a turbo F22A1 looking to run 5-8psi, would I need an oil cooler?

The factory motors don't come from honda with a turbine that spins over 80,000 RPMS... Turbos kick ass, but make A LOT of heat.. I'd say get one to be safe, Accords aren't the best motor to start with to begin with ( not trying to diss you ), so anything that may increase cooling/oiling will be a good idea, but it all comes down to if you'd rather spend the money on it or not.. I've personally seen 3 different accords blow up using a 75 shot of nitrous, where as my civic has been though 9 bottles without a miss. I'd say any help you can lend to helping the F22 survive is a good idea..

maybe I'm off on saying this, but I'd say an oil cooler is required when your oil temps are regularly getting too high. Install an oil temp gauge if you don't have one, and then decide if you need the cooler. If you install an oil cooler when its not needed and it doesn't have any kind of thermastat or cold oil bypass, then your oil may never heat up at all and cold oil doesn't flow well. Every car will be different, just as everyones driving is different, hell, people live in different climates...if your uyp in canada, you may never need an oil cooler, but if you live where its regularly over 100 degrees, you might need one with only a few mods to your car. You get what I'm saying? Hope I helped.
