Ok guys! I still havent figured this one out yet!! So i made a quick vid of what it does so maybe u guys could better trouble shoot it!

o yea and anyone notice how slow it is compared to what it should be?? I mean there were 3 people in the car but its still really ------- slow compared to what it used to be!

that looks like a rev limiter issue, but im sure you checked that already using other ecus, have you changed out your harness at all?

yea already tried that many times lol! But i havent change my harness out at all. BUt i mean what in the harness would cause that??

have your tried changing the iat/ect/ wiring for those sensors??( think i have an extra one if you ned it) the ecu might be reading the engine as cold and wont let you rev it up.
maybe you have ftl setup wrong?
maybe the tach is off? my redline is 7500 but my tach only shows it as 6500, its way off.

you say its only at wot, does that mean you can still revi higher than 6k if your not flooring it? have your tried it in neutral?

also, maybe you have low oil pressure, bad pump or something. My girls gsr wont rev past 6-6.5k when the oil is low(bad way of finding this out btw) and itll do this w/o throwing a code or oil pressure light

also you can just throw your car off a cliff. that solves a lot of issues. O0

Thats what im telling him to sell it. But hey if it doesent kill your car, it will only make you smarter when you fix it. If he doesent fix this problem soon im pretty sure hes selling it on HMT to some noob 8)

Also check your TPS, maybe try swaping it for another one just to see if it will fix that problem

yea im going to switch out the tps and intake air temp this weekend. If one of those arnt it im done lol.. cant deal with it anymore. Im just gonna sell it and start over. Plus it needs a rear main seal now too. This would be the third time in like 4 months the tranny came out. ---- that lol..

Dude just keep working on it, you'll figure it out. It doesnt really sound like its hitting a rev limiter it would be much more choppy wouldnt it? could it be blowing out the spark? what is your gap set at? that is fucked up but just keep narowing it down.

is you map sensor disabled ?? but im guessing tps i turbod a ls and it ran fine but first test drive it fucked up the tps and it would on rev to 5500 and sound all choppy becouse of the w/g, after i swaped the tps out it ran like a raped ape (got a speeding ticket for 76 in a 25)

how do u disable your map sensor?? Im postive its not though. But im deffiently trying the tps today to see if thats it!

Wasnt the tps, wasnt the intake air temp... and there is oil comming from somewhere either the head gasket or the rear main seal. There is oil around the entire top of the tranny i thought it was from the rear mail seal and the flywheel was somehow flinging it around and somehow getting on top lol... or could a head gasket be causing all my problems??? Or no way??

so any of u have any idea if a bad headgasket could be my problem?? Could the gasket somehow blow out and cause it to spew oil everywhere too?? I replaced the head gasket and put arp head studs on it and then about 4 months ago and about 3 weeks later is when all this started happening.

Distributor seal or o-ring. Looks like a timing problem in the video. I had a similiar problem before.

nah the oil aint leaking from the dizzy! That was the first thing i checked. almost every car ive owned did that ---- lol. But umm for the timming problem what would be your guess is off? The timming belt not lined up? Or something with just the timming on the dizzy? Ive already checked both but if there is something specific i should check for go ahead tell me! Thanks bro!

there is a hole under the dizzy housing that oil can leak from if it gets by the internal seal.
try another dizzy? if not, try that. You can try mine out
are the plastics on the block stock z6 ones?
I would take the crank pulley off and both plastics.
check the arrow on the oil pump and the mark on the timing belt pulley. they should line up for tdc.
check the cam gear third line and make sure it lines up with the arrow on the plastics.

alredy tried 3 dizzys (all my friends lol) lol but the plasitics are the original z6 ones. Last time i checked it all ligned up but i will deffiently try that later today! O yea and it only does this when it warms up! It wont do it if its colder. But it will still be really slow just wont cut out at 6000!

could this be something in wiring harness?? I mean ive pretty much tried everything but a new harness.

Don't swap out your harness just yet. Do you have a wiring diagram of your car? If so, check your wiring with a multimeter that can test for continuity. I'd start with your IAT sensor wiring. Are you throwing any codes? If you need help with this, just ask.

Just to make sure, you're not low on oil, are you? Don't give up. You're close to finding the problem.

Just watched the vid. Thats one wierd ------- problem, hahah.
Where is the boost gauge getting its signal from? Is there anything else T'd into that line?
If you go part throttle, can you rev all the way to your limiter w/o any problem?
If yes, can you take a vid of the boost gauge while: Holding steady revs at say 7k, hold the car at the same revs w/ the brakes, and slowly feed in throttle until your at WOT.

The fact that you're pulling 10" of vacuum at WOT is very ------- wierd.

hmm i can go all the way up to my rev limiter if i dont get all the way on the gas and maybe hold it at like 6 psi or so part throttle. It will go all the way up.

Its t'd off from the back of the intake manifold and is tied into the evap purge control valve thing on the back of the intake manifold and t'd off to the wastegate too.

ok i t'd it off so its only t'd off from the back of the intake manifold and the wastegate. It doesnt have that evap thing t'd off in it anymore and i did a continuity test on the vtec oil pressure sensor and the vtec solenoid from the plug to the ecu and they were both fine. The grounds were ok too. And it still did the same thing. If u keep your foot down to the floor while its cutting out eventually it throws a check engine light for 22 vtec oil pressure sensor or whatever. But everything checks in ok! I even replaced the whole assembly just in case and it did the same thing!

It runs even slower then my stock 1.5 vtec :l :P
I didn`t know that it is physcially possible for the gauge to read -10 while at WOT LOL.
anyway I cna only think of the followings:
1) the TB some how closed/half shut while ur flooring it.
2) your turbo is spinning backward LOL
3) huge blockage within the charge pipe ( any soft rubber section within the piping? )
4) super retarded cam-timing , exhauste valve open at compression stroke.
5) super miss-firing or retarded ig-timing, which fires way after TDC.
6) boost/vaccum leak between IM and head, could be vaccum lines too <-----**** VERY POSSIBLE, CHECK *****

if you map sensor isnt enabled threw your ecu then thats def why, 6 k is where almost every car fucks up, only wierd thing is they normally throw the cel

lol tell me about it its been doing this for over a month and it was running strong as ---- and then suddenly this happend and it went to super slow mode and wont go over 6 lol!! Yea the only one i see plausible at this point is the vaccum line one! But what i dont get is why it only does it once it warms up?? Its ------- random! lol!! But i will check all those things out! The oil could be coming from your distributor and it some of the oil got into your distributor and f'd somethin' up?!

hmm i dont know im seriously starting to think it somehow is my head gasket. The oil is NOT comming from the distributor but it certainly looks like its from the gasket. Plus its about as slow as it was when i blew the gasket before. Plus i have to keep my fan on no matter what or it over heats. I have never noticed this until now. The car hasent overheated in like 6 months but i fogot to hook my fan up the other day and i was crusing down the freeway and it was actually pretty cold outside and it started to over heat like no other!! I wonder if this could of been my problem??

sounds like a head gasket to me.

Your loosing everything out the gasket. Oil and boost.
