Whats the max HP from this setup?
 

D16A1 blacktop
IHI RHB5
10psi boost
DSM intercooler
2.25" exhaust
2" charge pipes
Turboedit
450CC DSM

I know this has been posted a million times, but do you guys think 190whp is achievable?

ummm...190...i wouldnt doubt it. with the b18c1 turbocharger setup...at 7psi...produces more that 250whp. i think with 10psi you could reach more than 190whp..

D16A1 as in the DOHC engine that I think was in Integras?

Or the D16A6 that was in CRX Si and Civic Si...I think..I'm no expert.

Its a dohc 1.6L
Also has a gas flowed and polished cylinder head.

That's a pretty small turbo, I dunno if you will be able to hit 190whp.

why not get a T3 .42/.48...190whp on a .42/.48 would be easier with the t3....

rhb5 probabyl 150-160, t3 180-190, .48/.60 probably 190-210

i'd hit it up with the .42/.48 or a .48/.60

or if you wan a quicky spoolin' the rhb5 will be coo

Buy a bigger turbo and get a FMIC.

id go with 2.5 charge pipes on it, we did with Alec's ZC and it made a world of difference.

The dsm side mount is modified to fit front mount, but obviously i am upgrading to a bigger FMIC. Do you think i coudl run mid 13s with this setup with some slicks? I am at 40 feet elevation. :P

Right now I am goign one step at a time. The IHI RHB5 was all i could get my hands on for cheap. Remeber this is a 1900lb CRX, I really dont need to kill myself, i think 160whp woudl be more than enough until i can get a new turbo, but reight now while im at it i want to see how far i can push my current setup.

the point with going with a T3 vs a rhb5 is that the flanges are universal from one T3 to another...

but if you already have a rhb5 use it and learn with it

And i love the quick spool!
besides, how much usable hp could the 1g crx chassis use. I know of a guy with a b16a 1g crx runnign 13s with only 150whp. If I made 160-170whp id be one happy camper. I know, not fast enough for some, but fast enough for me. ;D

How did you drop the weight to 1900?
But my turbo is a big bigger.. And i have a front mount.

only the ford rhb5 has the same flange, the mazda ones are different

Have you put that motor in your CRX yet, cuz the driver side motor mount is gonna be off. Also your wiring harness won't work with the the dizzy you have rip the wiring harness apart and make a special plug becuase that dizzy has a external TDC senor. That and the motor is up at a tilt and will hit your hood. I was just curious how you delt with some of these problems, they were a pain in the ass for me. ;)

The motor has been in my car for nearly a year. I ran a best pass of 14.8 with cams i/h/e on street tires.
I am a avid redpepperracing.com forum user, so youll find me posting alot there. The turbo is already on but now I need to upgrade my clutch. It slips once it warms up. ZTo answer your question, I used the original 87 Si harness and converted it to OBD0 (pre OBD). Its actually not too bad. A couple of connectors from the teg, some reqiring, and it runs liek a factory d16a1. Alot of people swap in browntops but for turbo I opted to go with the blacktop.
I have no issues with the engine hitting the hood.
and the driver side motor mount, you simply use a CRX one. Unless youre talking about a ZC-2, in which case you do need custom mounts.
