Default What turbine A/R?

Setup-
Y8 block
Z6 head mildly ported by me :P
srp pistons 9.5:1
TT I beam rods
filled block

I think I have decided to go with a T3/T04e 57 trim from blaast. My question is should I go with the .48 a/r or .63 a/r turbine? My goal is about 400hp.

.63 with stage 3 turbine wheel. You will spool at 3K and have 10 psi at or before 4K.

You will need the .63. I don't think the .48 could support 400 hp.

i have thise same setup but with the .54 trim

spools fairly early, takes a little bit to get to full boost but overall, i am very happy with it

i have the .63 on mine and get 7 psi at 4500 in 1st gear, 3rd gear gives me full boost (25 psi) at 5000 rpm. thats on a 57 trim.
the .48 exhaust will probobly be limited to around 350 to high 300s

Just pick one A/R and try it. If not satisfied, I can swap housings for free.

If you stick to stage one, definitely go 0.63 and that's gonna spool super fast however 400 hp might be asking a lot from it.

if you go stage 3, why not trying 0.48 a/r it can be impressive.

so you think a stage 3 wheel at .48 a/r would support 400hp and spool faster?

Holy ----, that's an offer! Ken @ Cheap/Phoenix Turbo made a friend buy a housing @ $150 after he was sent an on-center when he needed tangental style.
