i scored a turbo off a conques tsi. dont know the year so i was wondering can i tell by the numbers on the housing or would i have to have somebody who knows what there looking for look at it. also im doing a ls-vtec with p73 pistons,arprodbolts,type r oil water pump, and a race eng.block guard. any hep would be greatly appreciated

 

a turbo like that is not worth it on a ls/vtec. trust me sell it and buy something else.

 

thats the problem i dont know the year. the car didnt have a registration in the dash. i heard the later years had a decent turbo like a 16g but that still may not be big enough. it looks to be in very good shape. just looking for suggestions

 

I'm not sure, certain year models might be different but I KNOW that some had what was called a 12A compressor wheel, it was smaller than a 14b, BUT I believe you can have that sent off(or even do it urself, if you knew how and could get a hold of the compressor wheels) and upgrade it to AT LEAST a small 16g...and that TD05H compressor housing is easier to work with cause it doesn't have the funny ending outlet that u need a j-pipe for, it should just be round...
