i dont have the flange thats why i wanna know what size vband flange i need

busa4 05-14-2010 10:15 AM

i know. your picture shows you are measuring the outside diameter of the flange. you need to measure the inside diameter of the flange. the size flange you need to purchase will be the size of pipe that fits into the flange. ex. my 2.5 v band flange fits a 2.5 pipe but the outside diameter of the flange is ~ 3 inches.

it looks like the inside diameter is 3.5 inches so you will need a 3.5 inch v-band clamp. thats a larger turbo. what are you going to put it on?

its 4.5"

Due to the 11 digit part numbers, I would assume it is a KKK turbo. Your best bet to identify it is calling around some turbo rebuilders and giving them the numbers to see if they can cross-reference them to give you more info. You don't want to slap that thing on without knowing what it is. They would also be able to tell you which clamp to get, if you can't figure it out.

It doesn't use a vclamp for the exhaust it's just for the center to hold the turbo together

Oh ok. its best to find out what turbo it is and find a direct replacement. last thing you want is your turbo to loosing up or come apart. so yes, it would use a 4.5" v-clamp, but like i said, its best to find a replacement part.

what turbo is it? I could have a clamp for you

i havent figured it out yet but i made a thread to see if someone can identify it and someone said it looks like a kkk turbo but when i bought it they told me it was gt30r .57 trim but i really dont know

Almost 4 months and you still don't have a clamp? I would've bought 3 different sizes to try them out by now. Or measured it and bought one.
