Re:what psi on diy setup

you cant even reach that, unless you have some kind of internals and a nice management system....

sorry to burst your bubble speed racer

Re:what psi on diy setup

You could boost as much as you want with proper fuel management and as long as your motor can handle it. Those guys that told you 13-14 psi max are retarded.

Re:what psi on diy setup

when they said 13-14 psi they where probably takling about what a unbuilt honda motor would handle.what stops u with diy projects is money and knowlage.

first of all don't take anything people from other boards say about turbo's seriously because if they knew anything they would be here..
second, what the hell are you gonna put 13/14psi into? maybe okay with a donut sized VW turbo...

Re:what psi on diy setup

they may have been telling you what is safe or something. Sure you can boost yout motor/turbo to 30 psi. DOes that mean it will hold up??? You would want to realize the limits of a stock N/Afirst off and secondly you also wanna know what psi your turbo will start losign effectiveness at. So yeah you can boost that ---- as high as you want, but that doesnt mean it will last

Re:what psi on diy setup

really? Because the smc website says 1-11 psi. I have the smc500 and when I get my new used civic or integra I'm debating how much to boost. If you remember, my civic was stolen 3 weeks ago.

so far i have eagle rods, srp pistons and a blockguard!!! i have all new bearings and gaskets it is a fully rebuilt engine! as for a turbo i want to use a t3 hybrid which i can get my hands for cheap and i am planning on using hondata

Re:what psi on diy setup

hey at times i would crank my turbo to 14psi.. not problems. ran v-afc, 450 cc injectors with 10ohm resistors. and a t3..... you could run 13-14psi ... just depends on the setup.
