Default what are my options...

at the moment, i have a 94 del sol.

about 106,000 miles on a d15b7, the little 1.5 liter that could.

what are my options. im looking at 3000 to play with. can i use the block i have now, or is it a complete waste of time?

i know the d16z6 can take 220hp or so before the stock rods bend- can i build the stock d15 block with whatever rods, pistons and sleeves- and put a d16z6 head on it for similar power to the z6?

realistically, i am aiming for 210 to the wheels, but i want it to be as reliable as possible.

do you think this is worthwhile, or should i just pick up a jdm d15b vtec?

thanks to anyone who can help me out. can't wait to join the ranks of the d series ninjas, haha.

Then boost it from there

I will go ahead and just post this again like I already did on turbod16.com and d-series.org...

"I would defintely look for a good condition d16z6 and swap that in. If you take good care of it (good fuel management and tuning) you should have no problem running around 210whp with stock internals. I have been running a little more than that for 7 months without problems and I drive my car hard.

I wouldn't go with the d15b because if something goes wrong your going to have a hard time finding parts that fit... **** and I have some experiance with that lol.

$3,000 is plenty of money for a good custom turbo kit, d16z6, and everythihng else you might need (clutch and exhaust being very important)."
