I need a mushroom shape airfilter, 3" inlet, clamp on style for a 400 hp B18C1. Any suggestions? Cone is too long, I'm working with space restrictions here, and I'm not open to running screens and garbage like that, filters are a must for street engines imo.

HKS Super Mega Flow makes some mushroom filters, I dont know which exact app your gonna buy it for, Hks is bling bling on the money factor though.

400hp B18c, that must feel good in your crx, stock? or built?

 

Actually it's not a CRX, it's a civic hatch, but it's pretty quick. with the old charger i imagine it was putting down around 320 because it went 11.8 at 122, but the new SC61 should put me well into the 400s. I looked at the HKS filter, but gd, 115 for an air filter? Anything else out there? I'd like to have an apexi or k&n since they filter a little better, but I can't find where either one makes a mushroom shaped filter.

 

I know people hate to hear the name, but APC makes them. I've seen them in pep boys.

 

Apc? We don't hate apc because their a bad company, we hate them because they sell total ----. I would rather wrap some panty hose with a rubber band around it.

 

where did you get your sc61 from?

 

you say you have room constrictions. Maybe you should route the pipe somewhere else so that it can be outside the engine bay. I'm just guessing it's in the engine bay because you have room constrictions. Just buy some more piping so you can route it somewhere else maybe in the bumper somewhere.

 

I would hate to see what panty hose you have alying around. they must be soem nasty ----

 

go to your local parts store and ask if you can see the K&N filter book. I remember seeing some mushroom syled filters in there.
