What Mani Is This (SS AUTO?) Will It Fit This Snail?? *PICS*
Im interested in buying this turbo from a member on here and even came across a cheap manifold. The buyer doesnt know what brand it is but I think he just doesnt want to say its an SS autochrome manifold
The manifolds work pretty good right but just need to be braced, is it that hard to brace them? And will it work with this turbo. 100% positive that is an SSauto manifold.
The wastegate depends on what exhaust flange you buy. You can use internal or external. Good luck with your charge pipes if you're using that manifold with an external wastegate. |

that`s def.ly a SS manifold. how do i know? because i had one. :P
that turbo is internal gated, not if you use somethinh kto block off that hole and go external . should work with the manifold. according to the pic it is already braced. but i would use another piece to support the manifold from the bottom. ( with the other end bolted to the bracket next to the oil pan) BTW tell him IT IS OK to say that it is a SS coz everyone knows already :P |

That turbo is internaly wastegated, you just dont have the swing. You can block off the little hole and it will be externaly reg' ;)ed

As you can tell Im new. But on internally gated turbos, you just block off the hoel and voila you have external wastegate?
Will these 2 piece bolt together? How much do the manifolds go for new? used? This one is used for 2000 miles ---- I love this site |

those manifold are like 150 brandnew over ebay.
i sold mine for 70 bucks b4 (new and lapped) :o as of the turbo, you need to find a downpipe flange, that could block that hole off. THEN BUY a extrenal WG the external WG will go to the little thing sticks out of the manifold. it will be teh best of you got a pic of the exhaust flange of the turbo |

What I meant about them bolting together is simply that. There are different bolt patterns and everything right? Will these go together...
Also for the intercooler pipes, why would it be difficult? Im getting a 24 X 12 X 3 custom intercooler from a shop who owes me some money for free if I choose to. Edit: Ya Iknow once the internal gate is plugged the external mounts on the manifold, I can get a tial 38mm for fairly cheap form Honda-Tech |

What flange does the mani have there is more than one. You need a t-3 flang. That mani WILL BREAK for sure. If you dont own it yet dont, there are much better.

Right form the seller Im getting the turbo from
"hey man. yes its an externally gate turbo. setup for a 5 bolt exhaust flange. it comes with the intake and compressor housing fittings" That help? I like the manifold looks and preforms and it does seem to be one of the newer braced ones, I may brace it from below also, but for the price I think its great. And the snail is already ex. gate SWEET! |

hey man. go to bmcrace.com and get his log manifold. they are beautiful. and they wont crack. the turbo is already clocked for that manifold too. I have one! :) your better of spending the 200 for the bmc manifold. in the long run youll be happier

ooo...haha. i see what your talking baout. the 5 bolts in the picture are for the downpipe...the four bolt flange is your standard t3 flange. thats what mounts to the manifold. the part of the turbo in the pciture that is showing is what your downpipe hooks up too

lol I was confused for a sec yeah lol. Ive never known what the downpipe bolted up to before lol
But yeah the mani and turbo will work I understand now Now I get what that ebay link you sent me was ahaha I told you Im brand new, this shits gonna be a lot better than my nitrous for sure |

The turbo isn't setup for ----. It doesn't have a flange so the wastegate will depend on what flange you buy for it. If you want an external wasteagte you buy a 5 bolt flange with the wastegate hole blocked off. If you want internal you buy a swing vlave flange and then you need to buy the proper actuator.
