What is the limit for boost and comp?

I just got a New teg, it had a built LS with 10.6:1 pistons and the head was milled twice. I was told that it is close to 11:1. It has headstuds and rods bolts, etc. I am assuming that this is too high for boost on stock sleeves?

On stock sleeves, you dont want to try that. 11:1 is high for an NA build, if youre boosting, you cant get a good enough tune to last more then a season. Probabaly.

your motor will tell you when its to high with some pings ;) and what type of sleaves you have is irrelivant when it comes to detionation.

Thats true, but really, thats a nice motor, and you dont want to flub it. If you build an 11:1 tubo motor, you want to make sure the rest of your ---- is nice too.

Get a thicker head gasket and then should get you out of the 11 compression ratio range, gsr's are 10.5-6:1? There are plenty of "stock" gsr's making 250hp. If it's already got forged internals i would boost that bitch quick! :6
