okay this may sound retarted but......you know how you make water intercoolers with water circulating around the intercooler......what if you make a box around the intercooler but instead of water you circulate nos through it.....or some gas that is really cold.

i dunno just a thought

 

ever had a nitrous kit before? that would not work. NX makes N-tercooler that sprays the intercooler with N20 or CO2 to cool it down.

 

that would just be a lot of work for something that can be done very easily... i have seen this done at the track... before a run... guys spray NOS on the Intercooler untill it gets all frosty , and then on the Intake Manifold, then they go and haul ***...

 

That is common to see in a lot of cars featured in magazines. You will see the little nos thing next to the FMIC.

 

uhm.. I dont think the N-tercooler "sprays" onto the IC. I believe it circulates NOS through a tube that flows over the front of the IC.

That spraying the NOS onto the IC and Intake manifold is a different thing. Hell, just use a fire extinguisher!

 

How bout re-routing the windshield washers to spray on the front of the FMIC. So you can spray it while your driving, staging at the track, whenever.

 

If track officals see anything dripping from your car, your off the track dude, I see guys that spray their intercooler in the Pre staging lanes, and it just drips a tad, they DQ them.

the N-tercooler does acually spray the intercooler with nitrous or CO2..it uses the tube to spray it evenly..otherwise..where would the nitrous go after it has passed threw the tube?...there is wayyyyy to much pressure in the nitrous lines for it to recirculate into the system.
