ok, I have a t25 with an internal wg, but my flapper is getting stuck open a little causing it to not get full boost in 1st gear until 5000-5000rpms, kinda sucks, so I thought about welding it shut and putting a external one on. I need one to be at a resonalbe price...AKA..cheap, but not too cheap that it doesn't work right. what do you suggest looking for?

Tial's are the best. Get what you know works and they're not that expensive

 

can tial wg release into atmosphere,? I heard a supras...I know bad example) wg open into atmosphere and just stay open and it sounded sooooo mean! I koow my little d16 isn't going to sound as cool, but can I do it?

 

all wastegates stay open. I think you might be going external for the ricer effect.....

 

I'm a total ricer, but that's not why I want to get an external one, my turbo takes for EVER to spool up, its almost like not even having a trubo until about 4500rpms really doesn't do much for street racing if you know what mean

 

all external wastegates are going to vent into the atmosphere unless you put a flange off the wastegate and run a dumptube back into the exhaust.

Personally I think it sounds like complete ------- open wastegate, I'll say it again, "it sounds like wet lesbian ----- farts" Yes on any car.

Tial's new 44mm Vband wastegate seems to be the hot unit right now, but I'm sure the 38mm will suite you just fine.
