what a dumb ***!
Well all this time Ive been trying to decide what manuel boost controller to get and I could of just adjusted my wastegate. For those of you who have an adjustable internal wastegate and dont know(like me :P)here is what you do.
this is not my wastegate but Im using it as an example.
These wastegates are adjustable from 5psi to8(some up to 10psi).To raise the boost all you have to do is tighten the arm so that in order to put it on the wastegate flapper you have to pull the diaphram out of the wastegate. This will couse the spring inside to compress and in fact need more preasure frome the trubo to activate the wastegate. This is what raises the boost.
I turned mine 4 turns and gained 2psi.Im now boosting 7psi with no spikes. The turbo also spools about 1kRPM sooner.Mine will go up to 10psi .
The one in the picture is off a Dodge but I pulled mine from an 80s Volvo. They are verry easy to find at parts yards and will run you about $12 bucks or so.Way safer and cheaper wasy of raising boost with no spikes or need for a boost controller.
Hope this useless right up helps other confused souls like myself

Haha, my buddy did that in his power stroke. We had that ****** pulling 30+psi. It even threw a cel. It's not like a Honda though. When it throws a cel, it goes away after the problem has vanished and there is no reseting involved.
I think we did some damage to the actuator doing that. After we set it back to normal it wouldn't boost as high a it did before we fucked with it.
