just won a IHI turbo from the 2.3 t-birds off ebay. think it will be good for a d15. hopefully make around 200-220 hp.

oh yea blaast do you have any spec on this turbo.

 

I know a guy that put one of those on his 2.0 Dtec Focus and made close to 200whp if that helps any.

 

its not going on a focus. its going into a d15 civic.

 

i think those are the best turbo's for the money. i had one of those on b18 my buddy had one on a b20. i've personally had one on a d15 and a d16. they ------- rule. start making boost at about 3600 on a d15 boost ------- hits hard and carries all the way to red line. great ------- turbo

It's going to spool way earlier than that and definitely won't hold til redline. A t3 spools around 3K so that tiny thing will probably spool around 2K. It will be fine but you're not going to make 220 whp, especially on a D15. Don't worry though, 180 whp will be burning the tires through 2nd...

Edit: I was picturing an IHI off a turbo mazda turbo but this must be bigger? Either way, you'll be fine.
