$350 - $400 for a good working, medium sized turbonetics turbo seems like a good price to me.

boost... do you have alot of knowledge about Turbonetics turbos? if so i'd like to know about what year this thing was made or is there a date code i can use to identify it? i know alot of the newer turbonetics compressor housings have their logo casted into the housing and then they paint their name in red (this doesn't have that) do you know what im talking about?

Yes and no... lol

1. Your best bet might be to call Turbonetics Tech and talk to them. I will tell you right now they might put you on hold for 25 minutes, but if you get the right person on the phone (somebody friendly) they will usually help you out the best. Plus you can put a spin on it and say you were thinking about sending it in for a rebuild to help get the information you need.

2. Your pictures aren't that great so I don't know how much info I can provide... (I don't think your second picture showing the turbine housing uploaded correctly because I can't get it to enlarge, but maybe that's my computer taking a smoke break.)

3. Is their a nameplate or build tag on your turbo? A lot of turbo shops just started using build tags regularly about 2 - 3 years ago !IMO!.

4. You are correct that your compressor cover isn't the obvious advertising covers that Turbonetics is using today that have the red letter and polished covers which were introduced around late 2006/end of 2007. That doesn't mean that it is not a good turbo, just that it probably pre-dates winter 2006 !IMO!

thanks for the good info!...... as for the pics, they're from the auction (i still haven't recieved the turbo yet) as soon as i do ill throw some better quality pics up ...maybe that will help identify it....
