what adapter plate do i use? for a hf manifold? would a hf/t3 work, i would think it would leave a gap?
turbo came off a volvo

you cant really use that on a standard t3 flange because their will be gap. if you get an an adapter plate make sure its wide enough and it may work ok. you can try swapping out the housing with another one from a saab.

i ported my adapater plate to the size of the hf manifold outlet which is pretty damn close to the size of the turbo inlet, then just port the turbine housing itself so its a nice smooth transition, worked super good on mine no leaks... but this is with a pretty wide custom adapter plate

here is a pic for reference.

my garrett air research from a volvo was identical to the one up at the top

I am using a turbo from a Volvo as well, and it originally had that funky circular flange. I had blaast swap the housing out for me. But I've heard of people either milling the flange down, or welding in the sides and then milling it flat. I suppose it depends on what tools you have access to.

I think ATP actually makes and adapter as well, but I'm sure it would be super expensive.
