I got the el cheapo 14in saw from Harbor freight, it was on sale for 39.99. It works great and have never had a problem with it. I would recommend getting the bigger one.

I haven't even checked any local places yet, I just thought I'd ebay it up first. 7" didn't seem like it would work all that great for pipes and ----.

That's way too expensive. Here is the one I was going to buy, but I fell asleep while the auction ended. :-[

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THOSE CHEAP SAWS!! I bought one and it lasted less than 5 minutes! The arcing on the brushes is so bad it heat soaks the brush springs making it useless. I even replaced the brushes for $5 and it lasted only a few seconds!! I finally went to SEARS and bought a DeWalt.

If you're gonna get a good chop saw than get Milwaukee. They make the best power tools.IMO.I've been through 4 chopsaw(craftsman, dewalt, ryobi). Now I use nothing but Milwaukee power tools.

I bought a box of FOUR electric grinders... look like the same sort of deal you found... on ebay for about $2. :P I was all excited, until I paid $30 for shipping and when I got them, I could only use them with GLOVES because they got so hot, parts of plastic on them started to melt. Oh well. I guess I got my $2 worth.

I get a habor freight catalog like every week about sales and ----. Hell the catalogs are like 50 pages thick! Just sign up for free and they just keep coming. I'll have to check out that chopsaw.

I used to use a 10 inch cheepo but recently upgraded to a 14" that was made specifically for cutting metal. It is soooooo much nicer. the 10 inch worked well but was slow. Theres no need to get one of the super expensive brand names but I'd stay away from something that cheep. Also If you plan on using this to cut thicker things, a bigger diameter saw makes a big difference. Really the 4" difference I had makes the thing cut probley almost twice as fast.
