Were do I weld my o2 bung in? MF or DP?

I'm making my own manifold, so it doesn't matter where I put it does it. I was going to put it in my dp, but not sure, what do you suggest?

all the setups I've see have them welded onto the dp.

When welding in bungs, its always a good idea to put another one further back for using a wideband. I know the Bosch sensor that comes with the LM-1 is really heat sensitive, so I like it far away from the turbo. I get all my friends to get an extra bung around the back-seat area of the exhaust just for that reason, then I go home, relax and eat some pie while watching my favorite spanish soap opera reruns.

can the widebands not take heat well? ----, that worries me, got any links on that. I was gona say put it in the manifold if you want, but i'd put it in the D/P.

anywhere on the dp, really

never install it on a "pressure side" of the exhaust (like between the manifold and turbo).

where did you get the bunge from? I need to order a couple for some testing.

I second this...

I know ebay has some listed, but ---- spending $6 + $5 shipping for two bunges that cost pennies to make. If I only had a tap that was 18x1.5 I'd be making my own.

I've heard that spark plug anti-fowlers use the same thread count and you can chop one of those up, but obviously not any of the spark plugs I use (which would be for the v8's, imports, and small engines).

Yeah well last time my dad called me on one of his trips to the hardware store (he loves buying crap at lowes) and asked me if I needed anything I told him "18.5mmX1.5 bolt/nut please" and he said they had nothing of the sort.

Maybe I just need to go myself, if you find one, let us know.

I bought it from Muffler Man for $5

You can use high pressure fittings nuts.

One time I spent 3 hours looking for a bung nut. Went to every hardware store in town and even a 'Nut and bolt warehouse' and couldnt find one.

Do a google search for Innovate LM-1 messageboard. THere is a lot of talk there about hot sensors flaking. You can put your narrowband in the DP, no problem but the wideband one is just sensitive to heat. Some people even came up with the idea of using a sheet of copper as a heatsink (which supposedly works). Edit: Looks like they actually sell a heatsink on their site now. and real nice bungs for $8 http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/x...me.php?cat=250
