went to the dyno today to tune my turbo d16y8 on crome.
spent about 1.5 hours on it and made 222hp@6750 and 198 tq.@5750

9-10 psi(lol it likes to creep a little bit gotta get somthin done about it but its fine rite now)
stock internals
dsm 440's
48 60 t3/t4(ssac turbo)
2.5 exhaust all the way back no muffler(sounds good)
2.5 charge piping with spearco intercooler
tuned on crome on a mustang dyno

also discard the shaved handles,silver bumper and primered roof i bought the car from a ricer for 1500 bones and traded off the body kit and put money into the engine.

Wow, those numbers put me to shame. That's excellent for a D16. Great job.

good numbers...gotta love the d-series. you'll soon want to turn it up more. start saving for better internals and really hurt some b-series feelings.

 

i ahve srp pistons eagle rods and a z6 crank and oil pump just gotta get bearings and get in together. just gotta get another daily witch i hope to have a crx by the end the of the month. but yea i love the d series we coulda get alot more power but i'd had to walk home and i didnt wanna walk home. will be makin well over 300 in the next year i hope lol

hey how much u pay for ur turbo, and did you get it off ebay, or SSAC web site.

 

thats good single cam numbers, especially for a mustang dyno....bbka's did 230 on a dynojet.

 

4th gear got the turbo from a freind who used it on a ls swapped ef. theres alot more left the last 2 runs we picked up 20hp by adding fuel. once i add the new fuel pump i got we can get at least 235. were hoping to get 250 out off it at the track at least once then its gettin new insides.

 

gotta love those fenders at least you made up for it with numbers
