WEIRD SOUNDS WITH TURBO.
 

if you noticed any unorthodox sounds that are made by your car while driving post em here...it would help everybody, and reassure some, if we knew causes and effects of the sounds that our vehicles are making while boosting.

me 1st:

gurgling sound coming from FMU, i think t's just hooked up the wrong way. back me up if i'm right.

while driving at 180 km/h a loud POUF (not BOOM) occurs sounds like a misfire then back fire, nothing internal cause still held 6psi of boost at full throttle... but WTF was that???

Hey is that POOF noise only when you shift? Because internal wastegates make a noticeable whooshing noise when they slam shut between shifts..(when running an open downpipe I heard this every time i shifted in my eclipse) I don't think your FMU can make noises but I might be wrong.....

or instead of the wastegate you can check your BOV, the spring on it might be too hard to open up, making a pouF noise due to compressor surge like ie. no bov at all.

or maybe ato 180km/h Im sure your on the top of 5th gear, pushing max PSI, I hope u dont have a stock fuel pump.

Make it work that hard that long and it might go lean once in a while, maybe causing a backfire?
