Weird BOV problem?!?
 

ok, i've been turboed for awhile now and i've been wondering what the hell is up with my bov!? when i run a filter on my turbo(k&n) it doesnt blow off loud or that noticable but when i run open turbo with no filter it ------- blows off loud!!! what would cause this? i still hit the same psi. its a cheap turbo xs knock off(not the rfl type) any ideas? even if i add washers or cut the spring inside its still the same. setup is d16a6 with a T3 @ 8-10psi

i have the same BOV you got. did you clean off that thick waxy sticky factory grease? i had to do it on mine cause it would flutter (compressor surge) relube it with some thick motor oil. also, i T'd my BOV with a 5/16" plastic T off the pcv valve and it sounds way louder than when i had it T'd off the fpr.
