Weak link in boosted engine

hey i just wanted to know what usually goes first in a boosted engine, should i invest in rods first or should i get a set of pistons, or should i just ------- go wild and buy both.

what engine are you working with? that will help us a bit.
Really you tune will determine how long your engine lasts.
But if you have the money, obviously you should buy both.

I know cfm sells focus rods and pistons for a decent price last time i checked. I have herd that stock focus motors can only take about 15psi and thats pushing it.

Don't waste your time only doing one and then the other becuase you will waste money replacing bearings / gaskets ect twice, do them both at once.

Your goal should be Hp, not psi !

Depending on what your hp and 1/4 mile goal is, you might beable to run a stock block.
