Try the SAAB dealer they should have them. I think they are metric banjo bolt fittings(hollow bolts with a round fiting on the outside that can be turned) similar to the fuel line fittings on Honda fuel filters, but larger. You should be able to find someting that will work at your local salvage yard, if not I may have some used ones lying around.

you cant find any fittings to thread into the turbo at all? any hardware stores?

might have to tap the bitch out then eh?

Or just say screw the water cooled section..

I had a hard time finding fittings for my oil feed but I found one that was code and forced the fitting adapter into the hole! It's not coming out, it's not going to leak, plus, since it is an adapter, it now goes to my -4AN fitting.. Aww ya... ;D

i've got a garrett off a SAAB also that i am soon to be putting on my civic. Anyways I noticed someone said "screw the water cooled section", mine is both oil/water cooled, but I am not wanting to run the water will it be ok and still keep the turbo cool if I block off these holes for water cooling? I am ready get this damn thing on.

DONT RUN WITHOUT THE WATER LINES.This will burn the turbo up in no time. You can get a rebuilt center section that is oil cooled only for $150(I stock them) but if you want to keep you oil and water cooler turbo you need to hook up the water lines.

So I guess I should hook up the water section huh? The guy I got the turbo form ran with the holes plugged on his civic and had no proablems, he is from Maryland and I am from Texas so I did not know if that would make a different...Major Heat range difference there. :P

This is what I know for a fact. If you dont hook the water lines up on a newly rebuilt turbo you void your warranty. Back when I was doing turbo kits for Saturns I had a guy with a turbo that leaked oil from the shaft seals after a couple months, no problem I said send it back and I will warranty it. I sent him a new turbo out of my stock and sent the old one back to the rebuilder. They told me that on teardown the bearings showed signes of overheating and there would be no warranty coverage, I asked them what would cause this as I had gotten turbos from them in the past and used them on Saturn with no problems, they said it looked like the watercooling lines had not been hooked up. I asked my customer and he said he did not bother hooking them up, he didnt think it would mater. So I ate a turbo under warranty.
