Water Cooled Turbo
Hi i have a turbo off of the Rb25det R33 Skyline and i read on a website that it is water cooled. It looks as if it is because of the 2 outer bungs for the water lines. I was wondering while I am installing the water lines if I would need to drain in coolant first before I cut into the coolant line on my throttle body. I dont want coolant leaking all over my motor.

Check, look, get an idea, ask someone; it might help. I pinched my lines close to the throttle body. Check around the thermostat housing, pre and post. You might find a few lines. :y |
Re: Water Cooled Turbo
yeah I figured thats what im gonna do. I bought all the lines already. I have more than enough. Would it be better to put a T on the water line and then dump it back into the radiator. Or is it ok just to extend the line from the throttle body to the turbo and back to where it started? Im thinking that that would be the easiest route to take.
