Re:water cooled

You don't need them if you either idle your car before shutting it off, have a turbo timer, or just dont boost much before shutting it off. You could risk overheating your engine if you add the turbo to your cooling system. And Dr. Boost is right, I'd rather have a hot turbo that might cost a couple hundred to replace than a whole motor.

word idling before shut off is the key. ;)

I don't know where you guys live, but I have driven my watercooled turbo car around half of a day when it was 98 degrees out and my temp gauge never even hinted of moving from where it sat before I even put a turbo on my car. Mabe I'm just lucky, but I have never had any trouble at all...I'm just giving my input, I'm not going to argue...this has been cover MANY times in the past...

no thats why i steered away from water turbo because i saw how much work it would have been on my car . plus a while back sombody on here said they put it on and there engine temps increased so thats not an option for me

I'm watercooled. No temp increase whatsoever.

To answer your question, no you cannot convert your non-water cooled greddy turbo to a water cooled unit. I dont think any of the greddy turbos have water cooled sections. I wouldnt worry about it to much either. Out of all the turbo setups I've done, I think maybe only the first 2 had water lines setup on them. The rest I never used them, and I also live in seattle, pretty chilly here =)

water cooling sucks. increaed the overall temp of your engine ... equals not cool
